About Us

Like Plants is a website dedicated to ecological gardening, urban vegetable gardens and plant care. We publish practical guides in three languages — Spanish, English and French — with one clear goal: that you can apply what you read straight away, whether you have a couple of pots on a balcony or a vegetable patch in the ground. New articles are added regularly in all three languages.

On the site you will find content organised by topic:

  • Species care guides: monstera, pothos, orchids, succulents, ficus, herbs and many more indoor and outdoor plants.
  • Urban and container gardening: sowing calendars, growing vegetables on balconies, seed starting and DIY irrigation systems.
  • Homemade biological preparations: compost and hot compost, compost tea, plant slurries, bokashi and fermented plant juice (FPJ).
  • Ecological pest and disease control: aphids, rust and other fungi, beneficial wildlife and treatments such as neem oil and potassium soap.

How we work

Every guide follows the same approach: step-by-step explanations, ecological methods and solutions designed for real spaces. We favour homemade, low-impact inputs — things you already have in your kitchen or garden — over synthetic chemicals, and we explain the reasoning behind each recommendation so you understand what is happening with your plant.

Transparency: some articles contain Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through them we receive a small commission that helps keep the site running, at no extra cost to you.

If you have a question about a plant, a problem in your garden or an idea you would like us to cover, write to us through the contact page.
